'Enchanted Swamp Creature'
Discover the secrets of this magical duo, available for adoption on our online stores
@sarahecmilla has imagined a wand inspired by the colors of seaweed, the reflections of marsh water, choosing a stabilized birch wood that has great depth and offers a play of lights. This curly birch has a silky velvet-like side, a hand-carved piece of wood, to create a rounded wand palm you’ll lose yourself in the details echoing the water lenses, as well as an algae swimming and winding around the palm. The Movement echoes with the mermaid and her fin, visible on the wand stand.
The body of the wand is made in an 80-year-old ash wood of the Compiègne forest, the lands of @sarahecmilla. Finally magnified with a warm dark wood shade that contrasts with the coldness of the palm tree. It is sublimated through a work of spinning and sculpting that plays with textures between organic and structured, on the upper half of the body then you will discover a ring that reveals on the bottom of the wand an organic tip echoing the nature of par its look like a branch.
The two parts of the apple and body join together with a fine brass ring to create a nice balance and a note of light on a dark/natural wand.
The wand is accompanied by its wand holder, in the shape of a coat made in a dyed oak wood, whose shape is inspired by seaweed, and the movements of water.
All adorned with an original illustration imagined and created in wood marquetry by @alliance_dessences, it invites you to dive at your own risk to follow this enchanted mermaid into the heart of the wild swamps, slip between the duckweed and lily pads to follow your sweetheart.
